If you want to do some odd shopping or save some money try Prague Markets. Some markets sell just fruit and veg, others target tourists and sell handcrafts etc. They might seem a bit tacky but there's goodies to be found in them, sometimes quite interesting stuff. You may find many markets around tourist spots as well.

Havelsky Trh ( Havel's Market) - Very popular market, located on a short street that runs perpendicular to Melantrichova, the main route connecting Staromestské námestí with Václavské námestí (metro station Mustek, Prague 1). Most vendors sell seasonal home-grown fruits, vegetables, wooden toys and flowers.

Prazska Trznice
( Trznice Market) - largest outdoor market. You can find a variety of consumer goods here and the prices are likely to be lower than in stores. Location : Prague 7, Holesovice (metro station Vltavska)

Pankrac Trznice
(Pankrac Market) - many small outdoor stands offering some seasonal fruits & veggies. Location : Prague 4, (metro station Pankrac)

Charles Bridge Market
- range from craft, jewellery, photography, paintings to other hand-made goods

Other small markets can be found at metro station Karlovo nam. and Hradcanska (mostly selling fresh produce).
