Incentive tourism
- 6-6-2009
- Categorized in: Congress Tourism
Team building, motivation and improvement of relations between management and employees are the goals of incentive tourism. This is a very specific type of business travel, although it may have a lot to do with organising a conference or congress. More and more companies realise the benefits which can be found in incentive tourism. Many renowned companies use this method to reward their best employees, stimulate sales representatives and foster friendly relationships with key accounts. Reasons why many companies choose Prague for their incentive programme are plentiful. From a historical and cultural point of view Prague is a unique and very charming place. Historical premises which are suitable for organising an attractive programme will not only attract the participants but also ensure they will have great memories of enjoying a unique experience in Prague. Another reason is the relatively low cost of organising a top-quality programme. Although Prague is part of the EU and is a developed European city, it is able to offer lower prices for most services, including accommodation, catering and transport, in comparison with the UK.
Incentive tourism activities
To give you a better idea of the available options, we will briefly describe a few popular activities that you can include in your incentive programme:
- Walking tour around historical Prague. Visit the interiors of Prague Castle and the Golden Lane, and then descend down to the Nerudova Street to Lesser Town Square and continue up to the Charles Bridge.
- Vltava Boat Cruise with dinner accompanied with live music.
- Czech brewery excursion (Pilsner Brewery or the Staropramen brewery).
- Golf (around 40 kilometres away from Prague is Konopiště Golf Resort, where you can combine playing golf with a corporate conference, and you can also be accommodated in a chateau hotel).
- Go-cart races.
