Molly Malone’s Irish Pub

This pub is a little slice of Ireland in the heart of Prague.  This traditional Irish pub is a great place to enjoy some quality time with friends in a relaxing atmosphere and enjoy a beer at the same time.  In fact, Molly’s is famous for having some of the best Guinness in the city.  Molly’s also serves traditional Irish food such as fish and chips and sausage and has numerous televisions in order to watch the big game.  There’s even a working fireplace to sit near in the winter and warm up while enjoying a drink.  In addition, there are Irish musicians and dancers who perform a few times each month.

George & Dragon Pub

Located next to Caffrey’s Irish Pub and right on the Old Town Square, George & Dragon Pub has some of the best coverage of English sports of any pub in Prague.  You won’t miss any action thanks to 12 TV’s and one large projection big screen.  The George & Dragon is more modern sports pub than an old fashioned Irish one and with that comes plenty of fun and atmosphere.  For the most part, the English frequent this pub although you can find some other nationalities mixed in from time to time.  Most of the drinks include popular Britain lagers on tap and there is also a wide selection of cocktails to choose from.  However, do be prepared to open your wallet as the prices can be somewhat expensive.  However, this is still a great spot and that is especially true in the summer months as the bar opens the front doors and you can enjoy a drink while watching a great scene.  The George & Dragon also features live music several times a week and tunes coming out of the stereo in between sets.

Dubliner Irish Bar

A great bar for a group and just about any night of the week, Dubliner is located just off the Old Town Square.  This Irish pub comes with a great atmosphere, including a long bar, wooden interior, and even streetlamps along the walls.  On tap are a great selection of brews including Fosters, Guinness, Heineken, Strongbow Cider, Stella Artois and Staropramen.  You can also get a good cocktail in the Dubliner as well.  This pub is also great for catching a sporting event from anywhere in the world.  With two large screens and an additional twelve flat screens, sports come in from America as well as the rest of the world.  In addition there is a pool table and DJ’s spinning music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Flannagan’s Irish Bar

With a name like Flannagan’s it has to be Irish.  And as you would expect, the atmosphere is lively and fun and there is always a good time to be had.  Known as one of the best music and sports pubs in the city, Flannagan’s is located on the upper half of Wenceslas Square.  The bar is dominated by four huge TV’s allowing for viewing from any angle and getting coverage from such channels as ESPN, Sky Sports and BBC among others.  All your favorite beers are on tap including some Czech favorites and other such as Guinness and Kilkenny.  The prices can be a little on the high side, but this is still a great place to spend the evening or hit it along a pub crawl.  There is also a DJ and live bands will sometimes take the stage as well.

Rocky O’Reilly’s Bar

Rocky O’Reilly’s is actually split into two parts with one side being non-smoking and has a nice homey feel to it thanks to a dark interior.  There are also several televisions showing various sporting events from around the world.  The other side is a great place to visit especially in the winter.  This side is a little nosier than the other and is the best spot for parties and large groups.  Rocky O’Reilly’s is located close to Wenceslas Square and offers a great taste of Ireland including some of the country’s most popular beers including Guinness and Kilkenny.

Caffrey’s Irish Bar

A modern bar with a great atmosphere, Caffrey’s Irish Bar is located just off the Old Town Square next to the George and Dragon Pub.  Caffrey’s also has numerous flat screen TV’s showing several sports at all times.  Of course, an Irish bar will have a large beer selection and Caffrey’s is no different.  Guinness, Kilkenny and Bulmer’s are all available.  If you can, try going in the summer when the bar will open a terrace facing the Old Town Square.  You will not want to miss having a great drink in such a great location.
