- 7-8-2010
- Categorized in: Transport, Getting There
Without doubt one of the best ways to get from Budapest to Vienna is by utilizing the river, and more specifically the hydrofoil that makes the journey on a daily basis! Granted, it is more expensive than getting the train like most people do, but the quality of the journey is head and shoulders higher! The trip last for about 5 ½ hours when going from Vienna to Budapest, but coming back is closer to 7 hours due to a number of factors. The other alternative is to take the train, which is the best option if you are traveling from Vienna to Prague, due to the fact that the train is more comfortable than any of the bus journeys. It is also possible to get a minibus from Budapest or Vienna to Prague which will pick you and your group up from your hotel.
