Kampa lsland
Kampa is an island in the Vltava river on the side of Lesser Town. The Charles Bridge crosses its northern tip and is connected to the island by the Street na Kampě. It is separated from Lesser Town by a narrow artificial channel to the west called the Devil's Stream (Čertovka), a waterway dug to power watermills. It is supposedly named after a sharp-tongued woman who lived in a local house called The Seven Devils. Kampa is also known as ‘the Little Venice of Prague'. You will find a delightful park at the southern end of the island; a perfect, romantic spot. The northern half of island is home to elegant embassies, restaurants and hotels. For those who would like to spend beautiful night in the island, we recommend to go to one of the many restaurants where delicious specialties are served, or to go to the bars to enjoy a glass of authentic Czech beer.

If you look over the panorama of Prague from the Old Town, you will see a picturesque old building standing near the river Vltava, to the left of the Charles Bridge. This is the Sova's Mills, situated on the Kampa Island. A remarkable collection of modern art, especially of Frantisek Kupka, is exhibited inside: it is called "Museum Kampa".
