Archbishop's palace

The Archbishop's Palace (Arcibiskupský palác) with an impressive rococo façade has been the seat of archbishops since 1562. In 1562, Ferdinand I bought this palace for his archbishop. Originally a Renaissance building but in the 1760s this palace was given a spectacular rococo façade designed by Johann Joseph Wirch. It is only open to the public once a year, the day before Good Friday.
