Rock Clubs

Batalion Music Pub

Batalion is a club or rather pub located downtown, near the Wenceslas Square. It is an old club which was a rock club in the nineties and in the early new millennium, but there’s not too much live music production at the moment.

Rock Café

Thanks to its location and name, Rock Café is a very popular music club in Prague. The club is not only a venue for concerts but also provides space for a gallery, CD shop and cinema.

Music Bar Futurum

In the communist era of dictatorship it turned into underground big-beat club. There played rock'n'roll bands till 60'. Futurum was alternately opened and closed, but tradition of rock concerts survived till The Velvet Revolution of 1989.

Rock Clubs in Prague

Unfortunately, most rock clubs are in Prague's suburbs. A few rock clubs remain in the city centre but struggle to survive due to the strict noise regulations. A popular choice in the centre is Rock Café; though quite commercial it plays live rock.
