Hluboka castle offers a rich woodwork and carvings, accenting the priceless furniture and tapestries. The castle is situated in Southern Bohemia approximately 10 km north of České Budějovice.

The manor Hluboká nad Vltavou is the best tourist offer of this year. This neo-Gothic residence won the "Kudy z nudy" (Routes from Boredom) competition, which was organised by the CzechTourism agency. The voters primarily valued the fact that the offer of Hluboká is not limited to the summer season only.

Hluboká nad Vltavou is a monumental Romantic chateau; originally a Gothic castle, it was remodelled in the Baroque style during the first half of the 18th century. It underwent a significant transformation in the 19th century, when it was remodelled in the English Windsor-style Gothic and became the official seat of the Schwarzenberg dynasty.
