Prague Municipal Museum

The museum offers an exhibition on the development of Prague from the 9th century to the present. Probably the most fascinating display is a scale model of Prague created by Antonín Langweil using paper. This model took 11 years to complete, representing a unique look at the Old Town, Leser Quarter and Prague Castle prior to the reconstruction of the city at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th Century.

Opening hours: Main building is open to public Tue-Sun 9 am -6 pm. Mondays closed. The museum remains open until 8 pm and offers free admission on the first Thursday of every month.
