Praha Dance Festival

International festival of contemporary dance production and motion theatre. The festival's mission is to inspire domestic artists and familiarise the general public with the art of contemporary dance. The history of the festival dates back to the summer of 1989, when the Prague Cultural Centre listed a few dance performances in the ‘Prague Summer Culture' festival.

United Islands of Prague Festival

United Islands of Prague is the city's annual festival which has become an important cultural event of the Metropolis. The festival is usually held in mid-June and lasts for three days.

Dvorakova Praha (Festival of Classical Music)

The international display Dvorakova Praha, or New World Among Festivals, starts in Prague Rudolfinum on 16th August and continues until 4th September (dates might vary each year).

Street Theatre Teatrotoc Festival

Mighty Sounds Festival

Mighty Sounds Festival (the biggest Ska Punk Festival in Europe). The idea of organising the Mighty Sounds festival was to create a summer party, which would connect music styles like ska, punk, rock´n´roll, hardcore, reggae, indie or more independent forms of electronic music e.g. breakbeat, jungle or even more alternative streams of hip hop.

Mystic Sk8 Cup in Prague

The Mystic Sk8 Cup is an event related to the World Cup Skateboarding. The Cup is traditionally a very popular event in Prague.

Design Festival (Designblok)

Designblok is an annual design festival showing the newest trends, historical design and inspiration from the present; a kind of design chart. The Festival was first introduced in 1998 and since then has grown bigger every year.

O2 Sazava Fest (summer open-air festival)

The O2 Sazava Fest started as a one-day event in 2001 for 1800 people, with only one stage and a much more genuine cast, from a festival for 1800. Today the Sazava Fest has become a respectable festival for more than 20,000, lasting for four days on six stages.

Bohemian Carnevale

The Bohemian Carnevale continues the Czech old traditions and allegorical festivities which date back to medieval times and which continued up to the recent past. Project Bohemian Carnevale is a rebirth of this phenomenon celebrating human joy, fantasy, talent, craft, and creativity.

Rock for People

Rock for People has become one of the biggest and most popular outdoor music festivals in the Czech Republic. Since 1995 the festival has been held annually in different cities around the Czech Republic.

Strings of Autumn

Jazz and Classical Music, tradition and experiment combined. The Strings of Autumn Festival is a vital part of cultural life, established in 1996 by the musical curators of the Prague Castle Administration.

Khamoro - International Festival of Gipsy Culture

Festival Khamoro is certainly ranked among the most prestigious Roma projects on both a local and an international level.

World Festival of Puppet Art

Prague is famous for puppet theatres and marionettes, which is one of the reasons why the International Institute of Marionette Art organises the theatre for the World Festival of Puppet Art.

One World - International Film Festival

The One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, organised by non-profit organisation People in Need, takes place annually on the first week of March in Prague. The Festival comes under the auspices of Václav Havel, former president of the Czech Republic.

Febiofest - International Festival of Films

Febiofest is the largest film festival in the Czech Republic and the second most prestigious festival in the country after the Karlovy Vary film festival. Febiofest is a unique European event which originally took place in Prague in two small theatres, before gradually growing into its present form.
