Cheap Restaurants
Cheap restaurants are not hard to find and there are quite a few even in the city centre. Most of them serve delicious Czech, Italian or American style dishes.
The Czech cuisine offers unique dishes, though not always very healthy. From the numerous Czech bread varieties -at least a dozen, to the classic onion and potato soup -that usually is served as the main course, the Czech cuisine is tasty and very nutritious (but you might find it quite heavy for your stomach). Amongst most famous Czech dishes are Czech dumplings, usually prepared with beef or fish dough, but also with fruit dough. Another dish that is often tried by tourists is the carp, the ‘national fish' par excellence. The dearest meat specialties are usually made of duck or goose meat prepared in different ways, and usually accompanied by a sauce made out of dill and horseradish.

Cheap restaurants are not so hard to find but are less frequent around tourist spots. Generally, prices in cheap restaurants are from 100 CZK to 250 CZK for dinner and beer. Yes, it is also possible to eat extremely cheaply at some local Chinese restaurants for around 80 CZK for a lunch, but don't expect a superb portion. A meal at McDonald or KFC will cost you 100 CZK. Most of the cheap restaurants do not accept credit cards.
