Business Hours
Most shops and grocery stores in Prague are generally open Monday through Saturday from 10.00 to 18.00. Some close by 14.00 at weekends, and many others don't open on Sunday at all. Supermarkets in department stores are open from 08.00 until 19.00 during weekdays. Weekend opening hours are in general from 08.00 until 16.00. Shopping malls are open daily from 09:00 to 21:00. Restaurants are open generally every day from 11.00 to 22.00, but don't be surprised if they close earlier especially in winter. Pubs usually open every day at 17:00 and stay open at least until 23:00. Clubs stay open much longer, often until the early hours of the morning; some do not close. Museums and galleries are closed on Mondays and are otherwise open from 09:00 until 17:00. Castles and other tourist attractions (especially outside Prague) are likely to be closed until May when the tourist season starts.
Office hours in general are from 08.00 until 16.00 (Mon-Fri). Some are open until 17.00. Banks are mostly open from 08.00 until 16.00 or 17.00. Most companies have a lunch break between either 12.00 and 13.00 or 13.00 and 14.00.
