This year winter in Prague is quite cold. In most days during January snow covered all of Prague, and a lot of snow is also expected in February, with temperatures reaching below zero. You probably don’t like very cold weather, but on the other hand it can make Prague look very romantic and charming - when snow softens the silhouettes of the city buildings and towers. Winter time is a great time to attend an exhibition opening, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, theatre premieres or classical and pop music concerts. Winter is also traditionally a social event season, with balls taking place in historic halls. And even sports fans will enjoy winter, with the main attraction being hockey matches.
